The motto of Marseille is written on this fountain: "Actibus immensis urbs fulget Massiliensis" that we can translate by "By her great deeds, the city of Massilia shines".

During a century, it was a Museum of Archaeology (1883-1989) and its renovation is in progress to create a Museum of the Decorative Arts dedicated to the arts of living in Provence during the 18th and 19th.

On sunday, I went to the "Parc Borély" to breathe fresh air. Over there, there were a good and a bad news. The good one: it was the weekend of the event "Rendez-vous aux jardins 2008" (Go to gardens 2008), and the bad one: they have emptied the lake of the park. It looks like a swamp and the aquatic birds seemed to be so depressed. I will not show you that, it's so sad.
